A bear attacked a woman in her backyard in Medford, police in the Southern Oregon city said. The approximately 200-pound bear appeared at about 8:40 p.m. Monday and “rushed” at the woman, leaving her with wounds to an arm and a leg, Medford officials reported. The woman’s dog “intervened” and also suffered injuries, but the dog and the woman managed to run off the bear.
MEDFORD Ore. (KPTV) – Officials on Wednesday morning reported that they killed a bear that attacked and mauled a woman and her dog in southern Oregon on Sunday night. The bear attacked an Oregon woman and her dog in her backyard in west Medford on Sunday night, before it was eventually chased away by the dog.
У меня как раз дом в западной части Медфорда, там к городу примыкают парк и лес, к восточной части города примыкают сельхозугодья.
ЗЫ. Запутался в сторонах света. Мой дом как раз в восточной половине Медфорда вместе с парком и лесом, а западная часть рядом с полями. Правда за этими полями тоже горы. Где-то прочитал, что этой породы медведей в Орегоне тысяч 30.
